• The six months between March and September 2004 were full of activity and discussion, as our community began to take on its future form. You can find links to how our ideas developed in the background documents that were presented to the General Meeting in September.
   
• The siyyum (completion of our new scroll) on September 12th was a great day for us. You can read about it and see the pictures here

• We take pictures at some of our more informal events, although it's often hard to capture the atmosphere.

  • One of our members, Rebekah Gronowski, took part in Cancer Research UK's Race for Life 2004 at Hopetoun House. She wrote

    The race went very well - I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was terrific and the other women were so good - when there were hills which were just a bit too steep for me, they all took turns in pushing me up! In fact, they were queuing up to push. We had such good fun - there were two thousand of us!

  • Our senior member, Ida Skubiejska, was 90 on November 21st. The community party for her was a great success:

• We also have a paper archive. Our archivist is Ida Skubiejska. The archive has only just been started, but already it contains a scrapbook of press coverage of the community, and back copies of LJ Today and Yad Vashem quarterly magazine.
