This page contains links to articles written for the Edinburgh Star, the magazine of the Edinburgh Jewish community, in late 2000, early 2003, and summer 2004. An article in autumn 2004 told the story of how we got our scroll.
Rebekah Gronowski gave a talk to a Forum and Workshops on 'Women's Spirituality for Peace' held on 15th June 2004.
Part of our Kol Nidre appeal went to World Jewish Aid to help their Darfur Appeal. Danny Casson wrote an article for Liberal Judaism on the response to the Appeal, especially from the Liberal community.
Another part went to Windows for Peace. Windows for Peace (UK) has its own website, with more information about their UK activities, including their magazine.
Maurice Naftalin gave the Dvar Torah (roughly, the sermon) when our community visited GNS in December 2004.
In May 2005 Gordon Barclay wrote a piece on setting up burial arrangements for Liberal Judaism.
Every week Liberal Judaism send us a short piece, usually on the week's parasha, or Torah portion (the one that is read out on the Shabbat service for that week). You can find them on the Liberal Judaism website or usually (because they don't always make it to there) on our website too.
The American Union for Reform Judaism also send out Dvarim Torah each week. You can subscribe to these, and find the archives for older ones, here. You can also find out there about the other regular e-mails they send out, on topics like "Building a Community" and "Israel Connections" (these in particular are often very good).
